Absolutely, all of our facial treatments in Dorset come alongside a free patch test, allowing you to get a better idea of what you can expect during your session. This also ensures that you are not allergic to any of the products we use.
A patch test is required 48 hours before your treatment. Please book this in with our practitioners before booking your treatment. You can book both appointments at the same time.
Please note: a patch test is not required for the DermaPen Microneedling treatment.
Most treatments involve minimal discomfort:
- IPL feels like a mild rubber band snap.

This will depend on the results you wish to achieve. If you simply want to give your skin a healthy boost (i.e. before going on holiday), one session would be perfect. To treat concerns such as acne, we would require a course of sessions to control flare-ups.
We do indeed! Along with booking a single session, our clients can also book a course of 3 or 6 facial treatments.
These treatments are generally low-downtime:
- IPL may cause mild redness for a day.
- Carbon Laser Peel has no downtime and leaves skin glowing immediately.
- Microneedling may result in redness or slight swelling for 24-48 hours.
The aftercare treatment for each facial rejuvenation treatment should be as follows:
- Protect your skin with sunscreen
- Avoid harsh products
- Follow any post-treatment advice provided by us
